Kanpur: Nearly 35 sheep died in an attack by stray dogs in Konch area of Jalaun on Saturday night. The incident came to light on Sunday morning.Sheep rearer Jasood Khan alleged that the attack caused him losses worth lakhs of rupees and demanded an investigation into the matter.Jasood, son of Shubhan Khan, earns his livelihood by rearing sheep near Et Tiraha. He lodged a complaint at Kotwali stating that around 2:30am on Friday and Saturday nights, while he and his family members were asleep, a pack of stray dogs attacked his sheep.Next morning, he found his sheep injured and dead and informed the police. According to Jasood, several sheep were seriously injured and about 35 sheep died in the attack, causing him a loss of around Rs 3.25 lakh.Jasood has appealed to the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, take necessary action and ensure compensation for the loss suffered. Konch Kotwali in charge Nigvendra Pratap has assured that the matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
