Prayagraj: Three kanwariyas were killed after their bike collided with a speeding auto near Sarpatipur village on the Prayagraj-Varanasi highway under the limits of Sarai Inayat police station in the trans-Ganga area of Prayagraj on Sunday night. The victims were on their way to Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi after collecting Ganga jal from Sangam.The deceased were identified as Shiv Prakash (20), Lalloo (45) and Ashok Kumar, residents of Tharwai and Phaphamau, respectively.The accident occurred near Sarpatipur village when an auto coming from the opposite direction collided with their bike, leaving all three critically injured. Police said Shiv Prakash died on the spot, while Ashok and Lalloo succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
