Under the pilot project, answer sheets of the high school improvement and compartment examinations and intermediate compartment examination were scanned and made available digitally to examiners, who evaluated them online and awarded marks digitally. The system was introduced to test the feasibility of technology-driven evaluation before any wider rollout.Three centres — Prayagraj, Varanasi and Meerut — were designated for digital evaluation. Selected teachers were trained before being assigned evaluation duties. Prayagraj was designated as the collection centre for answer sheets after the examinations.
