Prayagraj: Kaushambi police on Tuesday arrested three persons including a woman and her two nephews in connection with murder of a woman identified as Manglavati Devi of Manjhanpur whose body was found lying near Paschim Sarira -Bairampur road on May 15. The cops managed to ascertain the identity of the woman on Monday with the help of CCTV footage and electronic surveillance and sped up investigations.The arrested persons identified as Anoopa alias Amrita Devi and her nephews, Abhinandan alias Vhibhanshu and Avnish Rai, are residents of Shantipuram (Prayagraj). Cops have also recovered two mobiles, a car and purse and mobile of slain woman.Police said that slain woman knew the prime accused Amrita for the past two years. Manglawati had called up Amrita on May 14 on the pretext of visiting Chitrakoot. During their journey, they argued over refueling of car and the trio allegedly strangled the woman to death and escaped.
