Police Monday claimed to have solved the murder of Bheeteda deputy sarpanch’s husband within 25 hours and arrested three of his friends in connection with the case in Kotputli-Behror district.

Alwar: Police Monday claimed to have solved the murder of Bheeteda deputy sarpanch’s husband within 25 hours and arrested three of his friends in connection with the case in Kotputli-Behror district.The accused were identified as Santalal Yadav, Tinu Yadav and Satyaveer Yadav, all residents of Bheeteda.According to police, the victim, Updesh Yadav, a resident of Bheeteda, was found dead on Rivali Road under Behror police station limits Sunday morning. Behror Kotwali police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. A team was formed to investigate the case and CCTV footage from the area was examined.Behror DSP Sachin Sharma said police received information that a body was lying on the road between Dahmi and Diwali. During the investigation, CCTV footage showed that Updesh had gone to Bharthari Mandir with three of his friends.Police said the four had food at a hotel while returning home. However, an argument broke out among them after they got into the vehicle. Updesh was assaulted during the argument and, after the vehicle crossed Dahmi village, the three accused allegedly pushed him out of the vehicle and fled.Police said Updesh lost consciousness after the fall and died after failing to receive timely medical treatment. His body was spotted by passersby in the morning, who informed police.The three accused were arrested later and the vehicle allegedly used in the incident was also seized. Police said they would be produced in court and taken on remand for further questioning.
