Hisar: A 46-year-old jeep workshop mechanic died and his employer was injured after a group of youths attacked them with iron pipes following a road rage incident in Dabwali, Sirsa district, on Monday night.Police identified the victim as Gurvachan Singh Soni of Chauhan Nagar. His employer, Bakshish Singh, who runs a jeep body-making workshop in Jawahar Nagar (Ward 20), is undergoing treatment at a hospital.Bakshish said he and Gurvachan were riding a motorcycle toward Jawahar Nagar on Sirsa Road when some youths allegedly passed offensive remarks at them. When the duo objected, the youths called their associates and attacked them with iron pipes before fleeing.Bakshish took the seriously wounded Gurvachan to the govt hospital, where doctors declared him dead.The killing triggered outrage among local jeep-body building workers, who gathered in large numbers at the hospital. Police said legal action is underway based on statements from the victim’s family.
