Jamshedpur: A comprehensive training programme on disaster management, relief and rescue operations was conducted for NCC cadets at NIT-Jamshedpur auditorium on Saturday.The programme was organised by Civil Defence, Jamshedpur, on the special initiative of Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Commandant of 37 Jharkhand NCC Battalion. Around 280 cadets were imparted practical knowledge and essential skills needed to respond effectively during disasters and emergencies.Civil defence master trainers, including chief warden Arun Kumar, divisional warden Kamalkant Sinha and N B Chatterjee, led the session. They demonstrated the fundamentals of disaster management, types of fire and firefighting techniques, first aid, different bandaging methods and life-saving CPR technique.A 10-day combined annual training camp of the NCC began at the NIT on Friday.
