Gurgaon: A 27-year-old person died after an unidentified vehicle rammed his motorcycle and fled the spot on Sirohal Road in the early hours of Monday.Ayush Singh lived in Satguru Enclave and had been working at Airtel for the past two years. According to a complaint filed by his cousin, Nishant Singh, the incident took place around 12.10am on March 23 when Ayush was returning to his PG after visiting a friend in Sirohal village.Police said the victim was riding his motorcycle UP16BR7336 when an unknown vehicle rammed his vehicle from behind.The impact caused him to fall on the road, leaving him critically injured. A passerby shifted him to a private hospital in an ambulance, where doctors declared him dead. Following information from the hospital on March 24, a police team reached the facility and recorded the statement of the victim’s cousin.Based on the complaint and medical report, a case has been registered at Palam Vihar police station under sections 281 (rash driving), 125A (rash or negligent acts that endanger human life or personal safety) and 106 (causing death due to negligence) of BNS.A cop said efforts are underway to identify the offending vehicle and trace the driver. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being scanned as part of the probe.
