Surat: A 27-year-old man died at a Dindoli hotel on Tuesday evening. The victim, Venus Patel, went to Valentine Hotel at around 3.15pm with a woman friend. Around 4am, the friend told hotel staff that Patel had fainted. An ambulance was called but paramedics declared Patel dead when they arrived. Dindoli police were then called. They began an investigation after registering an unnatural death case.“Patel was a resident of Parvat Patiya area and worked at a namkeen shop. He was in a relationship with the woman for the last three years. They checked into the hotel and at around 4pm, the victim had an epileptic attack and the woman informed hotel staff. The victim was reportedly foaming at the mouth before he died. It looks like a case of cardiac arrest. We will have to wait for the postmortem report to know the exact cause of death,” a police official said.
