Rourkela: A 26-year-old man from Deogarh district drowned while bathing in Brahmani river under Bonai police limits in Sundargarh on Sunday. The body of deceased Asish Pradhan was recovered later in the night.Pradhan, along with his brother, had come to his uncle’s house at Bonai in Sundargarh district, a few days ago. On Sunday, both the brothers, along with their uncle’s son, went to Brahmani river for bathing. While bathing, Pradhan went missing in the river. His brother screamed for help, hearing with the local residents arrived at the spot and informed Bonai police station. Police, along with fire service personnel, reached there, and started a search operation. The body was recovered around around 8pm on Sunday. The body was kept in the morgue of Bonai subdivisional hospital till the family members of the deceased reached there.The postmortem was done on Monday, after which the body was handed over to his family.
