Kanpur: A 20-year-old youth drowned while bathing at Dabauli Ganga Ghat in Fatehpur district on Sunday morning.According to police, the victim, Shreyansh Tiwari, a resident of Unnao was a BCom student and worked part-time in Lucknow.He had gone to a temple with friends, and after their visit, the group proceeded to Dabauli Ganga Ghat to bathe. According to police, Shreyansh ventured into deep water and drowned before his friends could react.Local residents and police retrieved his body from the Ganga, but he was already dead.Inspector Gyanendra Singh, in charge of Fatehpur Chaurasi police station, said an investigation is underway and further action will be taken based on the post-mortem findings.
