20-month-old child stolen from Khatushyamji recovered safe, accused woman arrested

Jhunjhunu: Sikar police successfully rescued a 20-month-old child, who was kidnapped from Khatu Shyamji temple area where his family from Uttar Pradesh was on pilgrimage. The child was recovered late Monday night, and a 30-year-old woman named Pinki, a resident of Bihar, was arrested for the kidnapping Tuesday.Sikar Superintendent of Police Praveen Nayak Nunawat said that Pinki, who has no children and was living in a rented house in Ballabhgarh, Haryana, kidnapped Raunak on the evening of Aug 15 after he got separated from his family. After searching at its own level, the family from Bareilly reported the matter to the police on Aug 16.In response, Khatu Shyamji police deployed around 100 personnel and formed six teams to search for the child. They scrutinised footage from over 500 CCTV cameras across various locations, ultimately identifying Pinki as she was seen leading Raunak away by the hand. Through traditional informants, the police traced her to Ballabhgarh, where they recovered the child and took Pinki into custody.
