Ghaziabad: A 17-year-old boy was murdered by a 16-year-old near Shaheed Nagar metro station on Thursday over a two-week-old rivalry.Two persons were arrested and one minor was detained in connection with the incident, an officer said.The deceased, Ayan, worked at Delhi’s Ghazipur Murga Mandi.The incident took place on Thursday, police said. Ayan’s brother said that after Ayan returned from work, Shahzad and Wasim, who live in the same neighbourhood, came and took him along on a bike to Shaheed Nagar metro station. Four other youths there were already present at the spot. They had an argument there about a fight between them two weeks ago in which they had abused each other. One of them attacked Ayan with a knife and he suffered serious injuries. After that, the attackers fled from the spot.“During this time, Rashid, a resident of Shaheed Nagar, was passing through there. Seeing Ayan in a blood-soaked condition, he informed the family. The family took injured Ayan to Delhi’s Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” Ayan’s brother said.ACP (Sahibabad) Amit Saxena said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered against nine persons, including minors, under sections 103 (murder) and 61 (2) (criminal conspiracy) of BNS at Sahibabad police station.
