Berhampur: Two migrant workers from Ganjam district died after a hydraulic crane allegedly fell in a construction site at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. Three more workers sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment. The deceased were identified as Santosh Pradhan (29) of Tambapur in Patrapur block and K Siba (31) of Chiladi in Chikiti block, sources said. The family members of the deceased appealed to the district administration to bring their bodies to their villages for their last rites. Labour officer, Berhampur, Subhalaxmi Behera said their field staff spoke to the family members on Friday. “The post-mortem was conducted on Friday. The bodies are expected to reach their respective villages on Saturday morning after all paperwork,” she said.
