Garhwa: Two persons were arrested in connection with the firing at a 50-year-old trader in Garhwa district’s Narkhoria village on Saturday, police said on Sunday. Sandeep Kumar Singh, 26, and Rajni Mehta, 24, were in a relation since 2021. After her marriage was fixed with victim Umesh Mehta’s son, the accused decided to harm their family, police said. Banshidhar Nagar SDPO, Satyendra Narayan Singh, said, “Under the plan, Sandeep reached Garhwa from Bokaro on Friday and stayed at a hotel. On Saturday, he reached the shop of Umesh and fired at him, injuring his left arm.”
