Jaipur: Two motorcycle riders were killed in a road accident in Bikaner district Monday.A head-on collision between a rashly driven truck and bike caused the accident, which occurred near Mundsar village in the Napasar police station area, police said.The incident triggered protests by angry villagers who blocked the road and raised concerns over repeated mishaps in the area.“Two persons identified as Gopal (23) and Ramjas (21), both residents of Ramsar, sustained grave injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Both succumbed at the hospital,” said a senior police officer of Napasar police station.According to the police, both were on their way to Mundsar when the truck hit their bike, leaving them critically injured. The motorcycle was completely damaged in the impact.Local residents rushed to the spot and took victims to hospital.Police said the bodies have been kept in the mortuary of the Napasar govt hospital for postmortem.Police have registered a case and launched a search for the truck driver, who fled after the accident.
