Kanpur: Two elderly women were killed in separate wall collapse incidents in Banda district after four days of continuous rainfall.In the first incident, a 67-year-old woman, identified as Pyari, died after her neighbour’s wall collapsed onto her thatched house in Simauni village under Baberu Kotwali area late Tuesday. Family members pulled her out from under the debris and rushed her to a hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.In the second incident, a 60-year-old woman died after a mud wall of her house collapsed in Bairaf village under Marka police station limits on Tuesday night. Family members rescued her and took her to the community health centre (CHC), where doctors declared her brought dead.
