Berhampur: At least two people were killed and 20 others injured when their pick-up van overturned at Anda Anda in Ganjam district on Sunday night. The incident took place when they were returning from Mahendra Mela held at Mahendragiri in Gajapati district. Rangabati Behera, 55, and Kailash Behera, 64, were from Karabalua village in Patrapur block, police said. At least 12 more people from Andhra Pradesh, returning from Mahendra Mela, sustained injuries when their SUV overturned on Jarada-Mahendragiri Road under Jarada police station limits on Monday evening. Police rescued all the injured, belonging to Hansamara village in Barua police station limits, and rushed them to Patrapur hospital, from where seven of them were referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. The condition of all the victims was stated to be stable.
