Karwar: Two software professionals working in Bengaluru were booked for allegedly consuming drugs near Gokarna Wednesday evening. The incident occurred at a private resort by the seashore.The suspects, MS Pavan, 28, from Bengaluru, and Raghu, 30, from Vadugapalayam in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, are employed by different tech companies in Bengaluru. Police said they noticed the duo behaving suspiciously on the beach and, suspecting drug use, detained them for a medical examination.Tests at Gokarna govt hospital returned positive for drug consumption. Police have registered a case under Section 27(b) of the NDPS Act. Investigation is on.
