Jaipur: Police Friday arrested two men and detained four minors for allegedly killing a 21-year-old man who was caught in a violent clash between two groups over a monetary dispute in a village in Kotkhawda police station area earlier this month.The arrested accused were identified as Ashok Meena, 23, and Manish Meena, 20, both residents of Kotkhawda area. The victim, Kailash Meena, 21, was a resident of Bal Mukundpura.Police said the incident took place on March 12 when Kailash, returning from work in his field, was caught in a clash between two groups. He suffered serious head and body injuries after being attacked with sticks and stones. He was taken to SMS Hospital in Jaipur and died of his injuries on March 15.On a complaint by the victim’s father, Gangasahay Meena, police registered an FIR against 10 to 15 people for assault. After Kailash’s death, the case was converted to murder under relevant sections of BNS.The killing triggered tension in the area, with members of a community warning of a protest outside the police station and demanding swift action. Police deployed additional personnel and stepped up the probe.
