Nashik: Body of a 17-year-old boy, who was missing since Wednesday, was found in the Godavari river in the city on Thursday night.According to the Mhasrul police, a complaint of kidnapping was filed by the parents of the teenager, identified as Shreedhar Shah, when he did not return home on Wednesday night. On Thursday night, the Panchavati police found a body in the Godavari river. A case of accidental death was registered with the Panchavati police.“What the parents told us is that the boy appeared for the Std XII chemistry exam and was upset as he could not completely solve the paper. His father, however, told him to not worry and concentrate on the next papers,” a police officer said. “The boy went outside for a stroll, but did not return. The parents came to the police late at night. Sensing trouble a message was passed to all the police stations about the boy being “kidnapped”. It is a mandatory provision for registering the complaint in case of minors who go missing. The search for him began, but he could not be found,” the officer added.
