Buxar: An 11-year-old boy drowned after accidentally falling into a well while playing with friends at Mishravaliya village under Sonvarsha police station area of Buxar district on Sunday.According to police, the deceased, identified as Vivek Kumar, was the only son of Guddu Yadav. Vivek was playing with his friends when he accidentally fell into the well while running.On being alerted, villagers rushed to the spot and launched a rescue effort. However, due to the large quantity of water in the well, they could not save the boy in time.Police from Sonvarsha police station reached the spot after receiving information and recovered the body. Sonvarsha SHO Rajiv Ranjan confirmed the incident and said the boy died after drowning in the well. The body has been sent for postmortem.
