Hyderabad: Continuing the rollout of its flagship Rythu Bharosa investment support scheme, the state govt released ₹1,590.02 crore to 10.68 lakh farmers owning between two and three acres of agricultural land, taking the total disbursal under the programme to over ₹4,000 crore in two phases.Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said the financial assistance was directly credited to farmers’ bank accounts and covers 26.50 lakh acres.With the latest release, the cumulative assistance disbursed under the scheme has reached ₹4,072.04 crore, benefiting 54.96 lakh farmers across the state, he said.The second phase payment follows earlier release of Rs 2,482.02 crore to 44.27 lakh farmers owning up to two acres of land under the first phase of the scheme.The minister said the govt had adopted a phased disbursal process to ensure the smooth transfer of funds and avoid any inconvenience to beneficiaries. He assured that all remaining eligible farmers would receive assistance in the upcoming phases.The Rythu Bharosa scheme is aimed at providing investment support to farmers to meet cultivation expenses and strengthen the agricultural sector. The govt has maintained that the phased release of funds will help ensure orderly and efficient credit of assistance to all eligible beneficiaries.
