Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud on Wednesday criticised BJP national president Nitin Nabin for keeping mum on the Ayodhya temple donation theft case during his tour of Telangana.“Nitin Nabin also did not speak anything about why the CBI has not started its investigation into the Kaleshwaram scam in which KCR and his family are allegedly involved. The BJP president also did not speak anything on the assurances made to Telangana in the state reorganisation Act and approvals awaited for key infrastructure projects but made tall claims that the saffron party will come to power in the state,” Mahesh Goud told a media conference. On the other hand, BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has confined himself to his farm house and his residence and is not coming to the Assembly despite having the status of leader of the opposition, he said. The TPCC chief termed Nitin Nabin’s three-day visit to Telangana a “total flop”, asserting that there was neither scope for the saffron party to come to power nor any need of it in the state.“Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had released the Rythu Bharosa funds and accused the BJP of failing to fulfil its promises, including providing two crore jobs and doubling the income of farmers. The BJP is using central agencies like the CBI, ED and the Election Commission for political vendetta. There is no place for communal politics in Telangana as the people in the state want to live in religious harmony,” Mahesh Goud claimed.Stating that the Congress govt has provided 70,000 jobs after assuming office, he claimed that the BJP will not be able to give any serious challenge to the Congress in Telangana, regardless of its political alliances. In fact, the BJP has no political future in the state and the people are looking for a BJP-free India, he claimed.
