Mandya: Mandya ZP CEO Nandini KR directed officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the effective implementation of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) to ensure economic self-reliance and social security for rural women across the district.Addressing workshops organised for grassroots-level staff in all taluks, she instructed officials to immediately identify beneficiaries and launch both individual and group-based livelihood activities at the village level. She stressed that every eligible household should have at least one woman enrolled in a Sanjeevini Self-Help Group (SHG), followed by skill development, entrepreneurship training, financial inclusion and access to sustainable livelihood opportunities.Nandini underscored the need to encourage digital and cashless transactions within Gram Panchayat-level Sanjeevini federations and SHGs to strengthen financial discipline and transparency. As part of the workshops, agriculture sakhis and livestock sakhis were assessed through evaluation tests based on the training modules.
