Chennai: YouTuber Savukku Shankar has moved Madras High Court seeking bail in connection with an attempt-to-murder case registered against him while he was imprisoned in Puzhal central prison.Admitting the plea, Justice L Victoria Gowri directed the prosecution to file their reply on May 7 and adjourned the hearing. The court said the plea will be disposed of at the next hearing.Shankar said an FIR was registered against him and four others on April 8 under Sections 296(b) (uttering obscene words), 125 (indulging in acts endangering the personal safety of others), 132 (using criminal force to deter public servant), 109(1) (attempt to murder), and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS.
