Ludhiana: A youth reportedly died by suicide following a property dispute, with the police booking a father-son duo at Sidhwan Bet police station.The deceased, Balwinder Singh, was declared brought dead at a hospital after family members found him hanging in his house. His body was sent for post-mortem examination.Based on the statement of his mother, Karmajit Kaur of Dhothad, the police have registered a case against Sukhjinder Singh and his son Gursimrat Singh of Gahaur Dakha village.The complainant alleged that Balwinder had brokered a land deal in Moga district worth Rs 80 lakh per acre and was to receive around Rs 30 lakh as commission. However, the accused neither paid him the commission nor completed the registry and later sold the land to another party.The complainant told the cops that her son was under severe mental stress due to the dispute due to which he killed himself. tnn
