Coimbatore: A 25-year-old youth was arrested on Thursday, for sexually harassing a woman near Gandhi Nagar in Sundarapuram on Wednesday.The arrested youth has been identified as S Yuvraj, of Sundarapuram. Police said a 29-year-old woman, a resident of Sundarapuram, was walking back home after visiting her relative when the incident took place. “The youth who came on a motorcycle, touched her inappropriately and sped away when she raised an alarm,” said a police officer.However, the woman promptly noted down the motorcycle’s registration number and lodged a complaint with the Sundarapuram police. A case was registered and an investigation initiated.A police team traced the accused after analysing CCTV camera footage and arrested him. He was remanded in judicial custody. Police said he already has a robbery case pending against him.
