Kanpur: A youth was hit by a train on the railway track behind Patara Gaushala opposite Tenapur turn in Ghatampur area, resulting in his death.Rajesh alias Chhotu, 22, son of Shyam Babu and resident of Gujaini, had been living in Tenapur with his maternal uncle Kalika Prasad since childhood. When he did not come home, his uncle went to search for him. Around 6 am, villagers found his body beside the railway track. The villagers informed the police.Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the spot, identified the youth, informed the family members, and after completing the panchnama, sent the body for postmortem examination.His maternal uncle Kalika Prasad said that after Rajesh’s mother’s death, he had been living with him and his aunt since childhood and earned his livelihood by working as a conductor in a truck. Police investigations are underway to corroborate the circumstances under which youth met a tragic end.
