T’puram: A 27-year-old man was found dead inside the bedroom of a rented house near Puthenchantha Junction in Varkala on Thursday. The deceased Jaganraj is a native of Edava.Jaganraj, who worked at a private resort in Wayanad, used to stay at the rented house whenever he returned home. His relatives alerted Varkala Police after they were unable to contact him over the phone.The police reached the house and found Jaganraj lying dead inside the bedroom. Liquor bottles were also found outside the room, the police said.The police registered a case under BNSS Section 194 and initiated an inquiry into the death. The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.The body was shifted to Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, for autopsy.
