Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has proposed a 500-acre, state-of-the-art FinTech Hub in Sector 11, close to the Noida International Airport, and has issued an expression of interest (EOI) for its development.Envisioned as a world-class financial ecosystem, the hub will house core financial services, transaction processing centres, IT and digital services, and customer support operations, positioning the area as a major FinTech destination. The last date for submission of applications for prospective developers is March 18, 2026. According to the EOI, developers can also build corporate offices, conference facilities, auditoriums, cultural and information centres, kiosks, health clubs, and other support infrastructure within the hub.Additional CEO of the Yamuna Authority, Shailendra Bhatia, said that with private companies coming up and operations at Noida International Airport set to begin, the region is now conducive to setting up the hub.“We earlier held two stakeholders’ meetings to discuss the project and received feedback. In continuation, we decided to appoint an agency that will suggest the modalities of the project and examine whether it should be developed through a public-private partnership, lease model, or any other mechanism. This is a large project, and the total investment will be assessed at the next stage,” Bhatia said.According to the plan, the hub will be a focal point for financial services and is expected to promote IT/ITeS companies, innovation-driven enterprises, and start-ups engaged in digital banking, app-based lending, stock exchanges, electronic payment systems, insurance technology, and international money transfers.Sector 11 is earmarked as “institutional” in the YEIDA Phase I Master Plan 2041, which is considered compatible in principle for the proposed development. The initiative will place Noida among cities developing dedicated fintech ecosystems. Mumbai already introduced a fintech policy and is developing a 30-million-square-foot hub. GIFT City in Gujarat is spread over 886 acres, including a 261-acre Special Economic Zone, while Chennai announced a fintech hub at Nandambakkam. This is one more key project in the YEIDA region, which spans along the 165-km-long expressway.
