Mysuru: Urban development minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah, who has also been appointed in-charge of monitoring drought relief and disaster management in Chamarajanagar and Mysuru districts, held a meeting with officials of both districts at the Zilla Panchayat Hall in Mysuru on Sunday.He directed officials to initiate measures to address drinking water issues and ensure sufficient fodder, as drought-like conditions prevail across the two districts. He also instructed them to ensure the availability of seeds and fertilisers to support agricultural activities during the kharif season, and to take up swift relief measures while remaining prepared for disaster management.He asked officials to prioritise resolving farmer-centric issues, improve drinking water supply, and ensure timely availability of seeds and fertilisers without leaving room for complaints.Chamarajanagar MP Sunil Bose, MLAs Tanveer Sait, D Ravishankar, Anil Chikkamadu, Ganesh Prasad, Darshan Dhruvanarayan and K Harishgowda, as well as MLC Thimmaiah, among others, were present.
