Gurgaon: A 36-year-old labourer was allegedly beaten to death by fellow labourers after an argument during a drinking session turned violent. Police are yet to make an arrest in the case.Naresh Bairwa, a resident of village Bawali in Karauli district of Rajasthan, had come to Gurgaon for work and was staying in a rented house in Saini Khera villageAccording to the complaint submitted by his brother Amar Singh Bairwa, Naresh was consuming liquor with fellow labourers Gahlod Kumar Bairwa, Vikram and Hemraj on April 29 when a heated argument broke out and the trio allegedly thrashed Naresh, following which his condition deteriorated.A relative, Siyaram, rushed him to the govt hospital in Sector 10, where doctors referred him to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi due to his serious condition. Later, the family shifted him to the govt hospital in Karauli and subsequently admitted him to SMS Hospital in Jaipur on May 5, where he died during treatment on May 6.Cops were informed and a case under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 3(5) (act done with common intent) of BNS at Sector 40 police station.While police registered a case following the complaint of the family of the victim, they said that the victim died after he fell on the road on his way to a liquor shop.“The victim resided in a rented flat along with other labourers. They all drank together that night and cooked chicken. The victim then went to buy more liquor, but he fell on the road in an inebriated state and suffered a head injury. In our investigation, so far, he was not assaulted by anyone, but we are working on all the possible angles”, an investigator said.Further proceedings under Section 194 (investigating and reporting on unnatural deaths) of BNSS were initiated.
