Bhubaneswar: With the fifth instalment of Subhadra Yojana scheduled to be released on Rakhi Purnima, the govt has intensified scrutiny of fresh applications received under the scheme, with deputy CM Pravati Parida directing district authorities to complete all pending field verifications by July 25.Officials said 3,17,966 new applications were received during the 2026-27 financial year, taking the total number of registrations under the scheme to 1,15,75,633. Fresh applications are being scrutinised through field enquiries, e-KYC and other verification processes before beneficiaries are cleared for inclusion in the list.Chairing a high-level review meeting on Friday, Parida asked district administrations to expedite disposal of all applications referred for field verification and review progress daily to ensure eligible women are not left out of the fifth instalment. According to data, 1,02,04,396 women were initially identified as potential beneficiaries for the fifth instalment.Following verification by district administrations and removal of cases involving deceased beneficiaries, the final list now comprises 1,01,99,119 eligible women.
