Hyderabad: A woman was allegedly murdered and her body burnt in an agricultural field at Ramakkapet in Dubbak mandal of Siddipet district, with police suspecting that she may have been killed elsewhere and her body brought to the spot to destroy evidence.The incident came to light when locals found the charred remains in the fields and alerted Dubbak police. A police team reached the spot, examined the scene and collected evidence. As the woman’s identity could not be immediately established, police are checking missing-person records and other leads to identify her.Investigators are probing the circumstances of the killing, the possible motive and the identity of those involved.A case has been registered and two special teams have been formed on the instructions of the police commissioner to identify the victim and trace the suspects. Police are analysing evidence collected from the scene and questioning people who may have information about the incident.
