Balasore: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly tied to a pillar and raped at her home by a man from her village in Balasore district. A complaint in this regard was lodged on Saturday evening, days after the incident, which took place on Oct 18, as the survivor kept mum out of fear and deteriorating health.According to the written complaint, the incident occurred on the night of Oct 18 when the woman was alone at her house.The complainant alleged that around 10 pm, a man from her village entered her house, tied her to a pillar and raped her.She further alleged that after the incident, the accused threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone. Owing to her deteriorating health condition and fear, she was unable to approach the police immediately.The woman eventually lodged a written complaint, seeking action against the accused.Police have registered a case based on the complaint and initiated an investigation into the allegations.
