Mangaluru: A woman allegedly threw her three-and-a-half-year-old son and her husband’s sister’s three-year-old son into a well following a marital dispute in Perne under Uppinangady police station limits on Saturday afternoon.According to police, the woman, identified as Noorunnisa,28, had an argument with her husband, Sinan,32, over a phone call. In a fit of anger, she allegedly took the two children and threw them into a well near their house.Local residents who rushed to the spot rescued the children. However, her nephew died, while Noorunnisa’s son was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.Uppinangady police have registered a case and taken Noorunnisa into custody for questioning.
