Vasco: A South Goa court sentenced a woman, SandhyaChouhan to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband, Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, in 2019.Singh worked as an aircraft handler at Dabolim Airport and resided in Vasco with his family. According to the prosecution, the accused killed her husband following a verbal altercation related to his alleged heavy drinking and frequent abuse.During the quarrel, Chouhan reportedly struck Singh multiple times on the head with a wooden scantling, causing grievous injuries that led to his death. The couple’s minor daughter was the sole eyewitness to the crime. The custody of the child was not given to either side of the family, and she was placed in an institution.
