Prayagraj: A 35-year-old woman was taken into custody by Kaushambi police on Wednesday on charges of killing her husband. Police said Gudia, resident of Pabhosa village had a fight with her husband Pappu Nishad (40) on May 18 evening after he arrived home in an inebriated state. In a fit of anger, the woman attacked him with a brick and injured him seriously, said police.On Wednesday morning, Nishad’s condition deteriorated and he was brought to a private hospital by his father and nephew. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. A team of Paschim sarira police sent the body for post mortem and arrested Gudia.
