Kanpur: A 32-year-old woman died after falling from a rooftop during a domestic dispute late Saturday night in Kisarwal village under the Rania police station area of Kanpur Dehat. Her family members has accused her husband of murder.Rita Sharma was married 13 years ago and had three children. On Saturday night, an argument broke out between the husband and wife over her returning home late, which escalated into a dispute.It was reported that both went up to the rooftop, where the dispute intensified further. The deceased’s 12-year-old son Vansh said that during the scuffle, his mother lost her balance and fell down. Rita Sharma died on the spot due to serious injuries.Following the incident, Rita’s three children, Vansh (12), Vedu (9), and Shraddha (4), were left without their mother. After receiving information about the incident, Rania Police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The maternal family alleged that the husband frequently engaged in domestic disputes and that he pushed Rita off the rooftop, killing her.Based on the written complaint filed by the deceased’s father Shiv Sumiran Sharma, son of Ram Jiyawan, a murder case under BNS was registered at Rania police station against the accused husband. The husband has been taken into custody and an investigation has been initiated.Station In-charge Dinesh Gautam said, “A murder case has been registered on the basis of the written complaint filed by the deceased’s father. The accused husband has been taken into custody and is being investigated.”
