Bettiah: A 25-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh climbed a mobile tower near Bagaha railway station in West Champaran on Friday, allegedly over a marital dispute, before being rescued safely after nearly two hours of counselling by Patkhauli police.The woman alleged her husband assaulted her, drove her out of his house and refused to acknowledge their marriage.Patkhauli SHO Utpal Kant said, “The woman has been safely brought down from the tower and taken to the police station. Family members from both sides have been summoned. An impartial investigation into the allegations made by the woman is underway. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.”
