Falta: With the political scales flipping in Bengal and chief minister Suvendu Adhikari targeting him in his own lair, Trinamool Congress‘s Falta candidate Jahangir Khan faces an uphill task ahead of the May 21 repolls. A party functionary said former IPS officer Humayun Kabir is currently coordinating the local campaign to bolster worker morale.Meanwhile, a TMC fact-finding team led by MP Sushmita Dev met workers across the Sunderbans. Dev alleged on X that central forces and police aided the BJP in vandalising TMC party offices. Two other TMC teams are visiting East Midnapore and Hooghly. On X, party MP Sagarika Ghose claimed that local administrative offices were illegally occupied by the BJP post-polls and alleged discrepancies in EVM battery charges on counting day.
