Kanpur: Targeting the Samajwadi Party over the Sandeep murder case of Lucknow, deputy chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday said that with the elections approaching, opposition parties were trying to gather criminal elements.Pathak said that information was received about the involvement of people linked to the SP in the case and assured that the state govt would expose all such elements and take strict legal action against them.While reviewing the law and order and health services in Kanpur on Wednesday he said that strict action would be taken against the guilty in the case of ITBP jawan’s mother whose hand was severed. The deputy CM said he had taken cognisance of the incident through news sources. He said that as soon as the case file comes to him, he would personally review it.An immediate report had been sought in the matter, and strict action would be taken against the guilty and officers found negligent in the investigation, said Pathak.The deputy CM also held a meeting with the administrative officers and doctors at KPM Hospital in the city, and said that the systems of govt hospitals should be improved. He issued directives to resolve the public problems under all circumstances.Pathak said that the govt was committed to make Kanpur a leader in development. The state govt was continuously working to revive Kanpur’s old industrial character, and that the Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway and the new airport were fully ready, he said adding that the govt was continuously making efforts to establish a large number of industrial units in the city.
