Madikeri: A wild elephant was found dead in 7th Hosakote village on Thursday. The death of the elephant came to light on Thursday morning. The tusker was spotted roaming the area in search of food on Wednesday night. The jumbo is believed to be 25 years old. The elephant was stuck in mud and could have died of suffocation, foresters said. ACF Naveen Kumar and Kushalnagar range RFO Rakshit visited the spot.
