Even before Munawar Faruqui entered the ‘The Traitors 2’ castle, he intimated his fellow contestants. Blame it on his experience with reality shows, or, as the contestants said, he was a smart and strong player in general; his skill became his foe. He was the first one to get eliminated by the ‘Circle of Shaqq.’ Though he has done other reality shows, this time was different. This elimination hit different, as in a rare moment, Munawar almost broke down. His eyes were teary, and he choked while declaring that he was innocent. Reflecting on the same in an exclusive conversation with us, he said, “I am a very emotional person. I might not cry over big things and break down over small ones. But that is who I am.”

He expressed that the grief was never about the elimination. “I wasn’t upset because I was going or I lost, because that is the format of the show. I took only a 5 per cent chance to win there, but I wanted to survive in the game. I wanted to play in the game. My grief was more about that,” said the ‘Bigg Boss 17’ winner.

He felt he was targeted wrongfully, and said, “The way I was targeted, I found that to be very unfair. Why would you play a game like this? I would have never played it this way. I love to trust people. I am like this. All the people around me, everyone knows how easily I trust. And when that trust breaks, then it affects me a lot. This time it just gave me a shock, and it came clearly on my face.”

During our conversation, when asked, according to him, who could have made the perfect traitor on the show, he picked ‘The Fabulous Lives VS Bollywood Wives’ fame Shalini Passi. Describing her game, he said, “Shalini didn’t strategise; she didn’t have any problems.”Explaining why and how she would murder an innocent, he continued, “Let’s say if you tell her at the time of eating that the food has not come yet, but it actually has, maybe for that reason she will murder you in the night.”He concluded, saying she can pull off the character in real life as well, “with a matching bag and an umbrella.”
