During a surprise announcement at the White House, First Lady Melania Trump denied any connections to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
She also denied rumours around Epstein introducing her to Donald Trump, calling them “mean-spirited attempts to defame” her reputation, and separately called for congressional hearings for survivors of Epstein’s sex trafficking.
It is still unclear what prompted her announcement.
