Kolkata: Printing of West Bengal’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) final electoral roll began on Friday ahead of its publication on February 28, and people will be able to access the list around 2pm on Saturday.

The final roll, which includes over 60 lakh names with ‘adjudication marks’, will also carry the names of deleted electors, with “deleted” mentioned against them. After the publication of the final list on February 28, supplementary lists will be released in phases.

The draft roll had 7.08 crore names and was published on November 4. Printing of the final voters’ list is currently underway, West Bengal CEO Manoj Kumar Agarwal said on Friday. Political parties will be provided the list on pen drives from the CEO’s office, ECI officials said. In addition, the roll will be available at DM, SDO and BDO offices, as well as on the ECI website.
Names in the final voter list can be searched using the EPIC number, ECI sources said. District Election Officers (DEOs) will also provide two hard copies of the roll to political parties, sources added.

Around 5 lakh to 6 lakh names are likely to be excluded from the final list due to their absence at SIR hearings and failure to submit the required documents.
