Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India, said the state has 5 crore 67 lakh voters following the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Tamil Nadu will witness over 12.5 lakh first-time voters aged 18–19 and nearly 1 crore voters in the 20–29 age group, reflecting a strong youth focus. The CEC announced 75,000 polling stations, 100% webcasting at all booths, women- and PwD-managed polling stations, and model booths to ensure transparency and inclusion.
