Chennai: A couple wanted in connection with an armed robbery in West Bengal was arrested by a joint team of the West Bengal Police and the Maduravoyal police while they were hiding at their relative’s house.The accused were identified as Aleem Khan, 45, and his wife, Seema Khan, 32. The West Bengal police arrested a few persons in connection with an armed robbery reported a few months ago in Nandi village in West Bengal. Based on information given by them, the police tracked them to Maduravoyal.A team from the West Bengal Police came to Chennai and sought the assistance of the Maduravoyal police. After confirming the couple were staying at the particular house, the joint team stormed into the house and arrested the couple. The accused were produced before a magistrate court in the city and later taken to West Bengal for further interrogation.
