Banerjee, while addressing a public rally in Alipurduar, levelled explosive allegations against Sitharaman, accusing her of violation of MCC and urged Election Commission of India (ECI) to take immediate and stringent action against Sitharaman and other BJP leaders involved.
Hitting out at Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Banerjee said, “During the polls, cards are being distributed by the Union Finance Minister. I will appeal to the ECI to take strong action against her and all others who are misleading the people by misusing their power. I have seen their programme. Why have the cards been distributed before polls?”
She alleged that CRPF is threatening people in the border to vote for BJP. “If CRPF threatens you at borders asking to vote for BJP, don’t listen to them. BJP has brought huge heaps of money to Bengal to bring for the elections while they don’t give money during cyclones or other reasons,” Banerjee said.
BJP is using all power, including agencies like NIA, ED and all others, to threaten me, CM said.
“You are filling up forms during the elections,” Banerjee said and slammed her calling “Shameless.” Banerjee said, that “the forms are filled and instead of giving money to the women, all data will be collected from them, including names and bank account numbers, and they will be robbed by BJP. Everything will be looted from your accounts.”
In Bihar, they promised money to women and after that bulldozers will be used. Don’t trust them. They will rob you of everything, Banerjee said.
